THE searing heat of the sun may have taken its toll on a haba-habal driver, who collapsed while transporting passengers in Barili town, western Cebu.
Police said driver Adolven Encabo, 55, died due to heat stroke based on initial findings of attending physicians.
Encabo was driving his motorcycle past 5 p.m. in barangay Sta. Ana with two passengers on board.
The driver suddenly collapsed while driving causing the motorcycle to ram into roadside railings.
The two passengers Rosario Nuñez, 68, and Andres Nunez, 74. suffered bruises and brought to the Barili District Hospital where Encabo was also declared dead by attending physicians.
As habal-habal driver, Encabo was exposed to the sun all day that may have contributed to his death.
