3 more evacuated Filipinos return to PH from Afghanistan — DFA

MANILA, Philippines — Three more Filipinos evacuated from Afghanistan have returned to the Philippines, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said Thursday.

According to the DFA, the three Filipinos transited through Doha, Qatar.

DFA figures showed that 185 Filipinos have so far fled or have been evacuated from Afghanistan with 24 others still in the said country.

Of the 24, 16 Filipinos have already requested repatriation from either their respective companies or the Philippine government.

“The PH government continues to work with other governments and international partners to ensure the evacuation of the remaining Filipinos in Afghanistan,” the DFA said.
