Duterte lauds Indian envoy for enhancing PH-India ties in farewell call
MANILA, Philippines— President Rodrigo Duterte congratulated outgoing Ambassador of India to the Philippines Jaideep Mazumdar for his contribution in deepening ties between the two nations as the latter made his farewell call Friday.
Mazumdar has reportedly been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to Austria.
In a statement, Malacañang said Duterte commended Mazumdar for his “exemplary service, especially for his contributions to significantly enhance political dialogue at the highest levels.”
The President had official visits to India in 2017 and 2018. Last year, Duterte received Indian President Ram Nath Kovind during a state visit to the Philippines. https://globalnation.inquirer.net/181149/indian-president-here-on-state-visit
