OWWA denies giving money to OFWs at airports
MANILA, Philippines — The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) denied on Monday claims that they are giving returning overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) cash upon their arrival at airports in the country.
In an advisory, OWWA said a Facebook post claimed that OWWA has a program that gives cash to OFWs who arrived in the country.
OWWA, however, said the post was fake and that they do not have a program that simply gives OFWs money in airports.
