Danley’s kin in PH denies meeting Vegas shooter
DASMARIÑAS CITY—The family of Marilou Danley, the Filipina girlfriend of the reported gunman in the Las Vegas Strip shooting incident, has denied ever meeting Stephen Paddock in person.
Danley, a 62-year-old casino hostess, has a brother named Reynaldo Bustos in the country whom she supposedly visited during the weekend barely hours before Paddock opened fire and killed 58 people and injured hundred more in the so-called worst mass shooting in U.S. history.

“We don’t know him (Paddock) at all and we have no involvement in any money. This is really something we are not expecting,” said Danley’s sister-in-law Myla Bustos, 46.
Danley was initially identified by the US government as a “person of interest” in the case but was cleared later on after authorities confirmed she was in the Philippines during the shooting. She was not placed under arrest when she flew back to the U.S. to clear her name.
According to reports, Paddock wired $100,000 to Danley, who arrived in the Philippines on September 25. /jpv
