Swiss national shot in Puerto Princesa

PUERTO PRINCESA CITY, Philippines—Two men on a motorcycle shot a Swiss national living in Puerto Princesa City on Tuesday night, police said.

The victim, identified as Daniel Gubler (age unknown), was in critical condition at the Adventist Hospital following the shooting at around 11 p.m. on Liberty Street,  Senior Inspector Arvin Pineones said in a phone interview at noon Wednesday.

Pineones said Gubler was shot three times by the gunmen, who wore tinted helmets.

Investigators were looking at “personal motives” for the shooting, Pineones said.
