MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Tuesday met with former UK prime minister Tony Blair during his trip in Davos, Switzerland.
The Presidential Communications Office (PCO) posted on Facebook several photos of Marcos’ meeting with Blair, which was done at the sidelines of the 2023 World Economic Forum.
The PCO did not give details about what was discussed during the meeting.
Marcos first met with Blair during his six-day working visit to New York City, United States in September last year.
They discussed about the peace process in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), food security, climate action, and trade.
A month later, Blair then paid a visit to Marcos at the Malacañan Palace.
According to the then Office of the Press Secretary, Marcos and Blair “discussed a wide range of topics on bureaucracy and governance based on the best practices in developed countries.”
The President and his delegation arrived in Davos, Switzerland on Sunday afternoon (Sunday evening Manila time) for the 2023 World Economic Forum (WEF).
