BANGKOK, Thailand — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has been invited by French President Emmanuel Macron to make a state visit to the European country.
Macron invited Marcos to visit France during their bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (Apec) meeting here on Friday.
“He was also kind enough to invite me to visit France when the time comes,” the President said in a statement on Saturday.
He added that he likewise invited Macron to visit the Philippines.
Marcos and Macron discussed agriculture, energy, and defense during their meeting.

The Philippines’ Chief Executive will return to the Philippines on Saturday after embarking on a four-day trip to Thailand for the Apec Summit.
