6 Filipinos evacuate to Moldova amid Russian invasion of Ukraine
MANILA, Philippines — Six Filipinos evacuated to Moldova amid Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) reported Monday.
The Filipinos include a fourth-year medical student, two workers for an international organization, and two Filipino nationals married to Ukrainian nationals — one of whom traveled with her two-year old child.
The Philippine Honorary Consulate in Chisinau, Moldova assisted the Filipinos for their safe passage and provided the necessary documents needed to secure their e-Visas.
The Philippine Embassy in Budapest and Philippine Consulate in Chisinau will bring four of the Filipinos to Romania where they will be repatriated back to the Philippines.
The DFA, however, did not mention any repatriation details for the other two Filipinos.
