PH extends travel ban on India, other countries until July 15
MANILA, Philippines — The Philippines has extended the travel restrictions it imposed on inbound travelers from India and six other countries until July 15 to prevent the entry of the COVID-19 Delta variant, Malacañang said Tuesday.
The travel ban covers India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, the United Arab Emirates and Oman.
“Yung travel ban ay na-extend po until July 15,” presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said in an interview over state-run People’s Television Network.
(The travel ban was extended until July 15.)
The travel restrictions were supposed to lapse on Wednesday, June 30.

A total of 17 Delta variant cases have so far been detected in the Philippines.
