347 Pinoys repatriated from Kuwait
MANILA, Philippines — More than 300 distressed or undocumented Filipinos in Kuwait have been repatriated by the Department of Affairs (DFA).
The DFA said 347 passengers were sent home on board a chartered Philippine Airlines flight last week.
Philippine Ambassador to Kuwait Mohd. Noordin Pendosina Lomondot urged government agencies to assist the returning overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) set up businesses or upgrade their skills.
Among those repatriated were four senior citizens, eight infants, 60 OFWs with absconding cases, 74 overstaying Filipinos and 105 detainees from Kuwait’s prison and deportation centers.
