OFWs in Libya can still return to conflict-zone jobs

/ 04:21 AM November 11, 2019

MANILA, Philippines — Foreign Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr. on Sunday assured overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), particularly those working in Libya, that they will be allowed to return to their overseas jobs if they choose to come home for Christmas, just like they did last year.

He said Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III shared his view that OFWs should not be prevented from spending Christmas with their families with an assurance that they could return to jobs in conflict zones that they themselves decided to pursue. —Dona Z. Pazzibugan
