DFA warns OFWs not to use tourist visas to get jobs
MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) again warned Filipinos on Friday not to use tourist visas to secure jobs overseas because they are probe to abuse and exploitation.
Foreign Undersecretary Sarah Lou Arriola made the warning after the DFA repatriated from the United Arab Emirates a total of 71 distressed overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) who all left the Philippines using visit visas.
The distressed OFWs arrived in the country around 9 a.m. on Friday. —Jerome Aning
