President Rodrigo Duterte once again hit the International Criminal Court (ICC) by calling some of its judges as “idiots.”
Speaking before the Filipino community in Papua New Guinea, Duterte stood firm with his earlier statements that the would not allow himself to put on trial by the ICC.
“Itong mga human rights yung mga taga-EU [European Union], yang European community, yung mga puti, idinemanda ako sa ICC kasi imbestigahin daw ako. Sinong may sabi sa inyo?” he said during his speech on Friday.
[These human rights advocates from the EU, European Community, the whites, they’re suing me at the ICC, saying they will investigate me. Who told them they could do that?]
This was not the first time that Duterte branded the ICC as “idiots” for wanting to investigate him over his bloody campaign against illegal drugs.
In September, he called on the global body as a bunch of “criminals,” “bullshits,” and “idiots.”

Duterte further said that he does not recognized the ICC for it was created by the European Union (EU) and that some of its judges were “pedophiles.”
“Sabi ko I do not recognize the ICC. It is a creation of EU. Hindi ‘yan ‘yung International Court of Justice,” the chief executive said “Sabi ko, sino yung mga judges ninyo diyan? Bakit kasama ba kami pagpili nitong mga gagong, putang inang puti na ‘yan? Baka ito pedophile. ‘Yan man karamihan sa kanila. Ito palahubog. Itong judge na ito. Hindi ko man nakita ito.”
[I said I do not recognized the ICC. It is a creation of EU. That’s not the International Court of Justice. I said, Who are your judges there. Did we take part in selecting those stupid white sons of bitches? Maybe they’re pedophiles. A lot of them are like that. This one judge is a drunkard. I haven’t even seen him.]
“So why would I allow myself to be tried by a few idiots human beings in this world?” he added.
Duterte is in Papua New Guinea to attend the 26th Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation Economic Leaders’ Meeting.
He is set to return to the Philippines on Saturday night.
