A Filipina maid is facing jail time for physically hurting her employer’s five-year-old son in Hong Kong.

Rochelle Lintag Dreck, 32, was ordered to serve a ten-week jail sentence after pleading guilty to five counts of common assault, according to South China Morning Post.

Dreck would occasionally punish the child by slapping him, hitting his nose and lips, and hitting his palm with a comb several times between March and April last year. In one instance, Dreck’s harsh discipline methods caused the boy’s nose to bleed.

The victim’s mother, who works in the Mainland region and visits the boy on weekends, started noticing bruises on his son’s body. This was when another domestic helper working in the same home showed the mother a video, which has captured Dreck assaulting the child.
