Filipino man arrested for theft in Macau

A 20-year-old overseas Filipino worker (OFW) was arrested by Macau police for alleged theft on Wednesday.

According to local news site Macao Daily News, the Filipino man was charged with one count of theft for stealing 22,000 patacas (P138, 298) in cash and valuables from a drunk man last June 24.

The victim reported the incident to the police after he realized his briefcase had been stolen while he was lying on a bench on Fong Son Tong Street. Upon investigation, cops nabbed the Filipino man and was brought to the Public Prosecutions Office.

The report said that the suspect had been linked to several theft cases in Macau.  Gianna Francesca Catolico /ra
