President Rodrigo Duterte on Saturday said the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) is “extremely worried” about the missile launches and nuclear tests being conducted by North Korea.
“There seems to be two countries playing with their toys and those toys are not really to entertain,” Duterte said, alluding to North Korea and the United States.
He said the Asean will caution those involved because of the repercussions.
“It behooves upon America…to be prudent and patient.”

He said Asian countries will be the first to be affected.
“I am sure President Trump is cautioning his military to just maybe..not to start something which they cannot control,” he said.
Duterte said that during his phone call with Trump later this evening, he will tell him, “Mr. President, please see to it that there is no war because my region will suffer the first.”
