MALTA FREEPORT — A Filipino sailor was found dead in a pool of blood on a merchant ship at Malta Freeport last Sunday, May 17, police said.
The as yet unidentified seaman, of Filipino nationality, was found in a pool of blood on the MV Elbella at the Malta Freeport last night. The ship, registered in Malta, had arrived earlier that day from Turkey, according to a report by Malta Today.

The man died of several stab wounds, one of which was in his chest. Two knives were found close to hIs body. The police are investigating.
