Rep. Speier offers workshops on Affordable Care Act

SAN MATEO, California — Congresswoman Jackie Speier (D-San Francisco/San Mateo counties) will share information and advice about the Affordable Care Act at “Healthcare 411” on Saturday, January 24 in Daly City and on Saturday, January 31 in San Mateo from 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

The free events will offer Covered California website workshops with Covered California Educators, one-on-one informational appointments with insurance exchange experts, and preventative health screenings.

Nurses from the San Mateo County Health System will offer free flu vaccines to all individuals ages six months or older. This year’s flu season has already claimed the lives of 45 children nationwide.
