Rep. Speier to host students who wish to attend US service academies

rep. speierSAN MATEO, California– An educational event for parents, high school students interested in attending a military academy, counselors and teachers interested in learning about the nomination process, will be held on Thursday, October 7 at the City of Milbrae Chetcuti Room.

Military Academy Night will be hosted by Congresswoman Jackie Speier (D-San Francisco/San Mateo Counties) from 5:30– 7:00 p.m.

“The U.S. Military and Naval Academies rank in the top 20 liberal arts colleges year after year,” Speier said.  “It is an honor to nominate some of the country’s best and brightest to these programs where they will receive a top quality education free of tuition.”

Students can register for the Military Academy Night here and learn more about the application process on Speier’s website. The event is free and open to the public and media.
