Bodies of 2 German climbers airlifted to Legazpi City

Sealed in cavader bags, the bodies of two German nationals who died on Mayon following an explosion of ash and steam on Tuesday were finally brought down from the volcano and flown by a Philippine Air Force helicopter to the airport here at past noon Thursday.

UN to raise P2.7B for rehabilitation of areas devastated by typhoon Pablo

The United Nations on Monday unveiled in Davao City an action plan to rehabilitate areas devastated by typhoon Pablo (international name: Bopha) in Mindanao—particularly the provinces of Compostela Valley and Davao Oriental—and launched a global campaign to raise some P2.7 billion to back it up.
