Taiwan needs 150 factory workers—POEA

MANILA, Philippines?The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration is facilitating the employment of 120 male and 30 female factory workers through the special hiring program for Taiwan in cooperation with Manila Economic and Cultural Office (Meco).

In a statement, POEA Administrator Jennifer Jardin-Manalili on Thursday said representatives of the Taiwan employer, I-Mei Foods Corporation, are coming to POEA on the first week of August to interview applicants.

Male applicants should not be more than 35 years old, at least 168 cms tall, and weighing 58 to 78 kilos and should have any of the following skills: welder, air-condition technician, electrician, cook, food industry machine operator, and construction lathe operator.

Female applicants should be at least 158 cms tall, not more than 30 years old, and weighs 48 to 68 kilos, and have work experience either in nursing or food industry machine operation.

Qualified applicants have until July 31, 2009 to submit a detailed resume with job description, school credentials, employment certificates, passport copy, and two pieces of 2x2 recent picture at the Manpower Registry Division, Window I, ground floor, Blas F. Ople Building in Ortigas Avenue corner EDSA, Mandaluyong City.
