Former World Boxing Council 108-lb champion Brian Viloria resumes his march to the top as he sees action on May 17 against a soon-to-be-announced foe at the Plaza Monumental in Aguascalientes in Mexico.
The 10-round bout will be in the undercard of the Jorge Arce-Devid Lookmahanak eliminator.
Since his loss to Edgar Sosa last year, Viloria (21-2, 12 KO's) returned with two victories in a row against Jose Garcia Bernal and Cesar Lopez early this year.
Also seeing action on May 17 is Fil-Am Glenn Donaire possibly in a non-title fight after IBF light flyweight king Ulises Solis backed out from fighting Donaire due to a severe case of pneumonia.
Reports from Mexico say Solis is now slated to defend on July 12 still against Donaire.
Donaire, along with his trainer-father Nonito Sr, is slated to fly to Mexico on Monday. /Correspondent Salven Lagumbay
