Consular services back to normal operations—DFA

MANILA, Philippines—The Department of Foreign Affairs-Office of Consular Affairs (DFA-OCA) resumed its operations Wednesday.

In a text message, Raul Hernandez, DFA spokesperson said that all the services of the DFA were back to normal.

In a statement Tuesday, the DFA said that passport applicants who were unable to file their applications may have their passports processed until August 10, Friday.

“In view of the continuing inclement weather brought about by heavy rains, passport applicants scheduled today, August 7, may come to the DFA-OCA and have their passports processed this entire week until Friday, August 10,” the DFA said in a statement.

“Passport applicants are advised to bring their appointment slips with them,” it added.

Government work was suspended in the National Capital Region Tuesday due to heavy rains brought by the southwest monsoon.
