49 more Filipinos abroad get Covid-19 — DFA
MANILA, Philippines — Forty-nine more Filipinos overseas got infected with the new coronavirus, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said Sunday.

All the 49 new cases were logged from countries in Asia and the Pacific.
This brings the total caseload of Filipinos with Covid-19 overseas to 14,469. Of the number, 4,400 remain under treatment while 9,115 have recovered or were discharged.
No new Covid-related death was reported among overseas Filipinos, hence the number of deaths remained at 954.
The DFA said it “remains fully committed to monitoring the situation of overseas Filipinos and remains steadfast in promoting and protecting their welfare.”
In the Philippines, the total number of Covid-19 cases reached 537,310 after it recorded 1,790 new cases on Sunday.
