Fox: BI agent made sloppy investigation of my case
Australian missionary Sister Patricia Fox on Friday alleged that the Bureau of Immigration (BI) conducted a “sloppy investigation” of her case and maintained that the rallies she participated in were part and parcel of her apostolate and missionary work.
In a 26-page counteraffidavit she filed in the BI on Friday, Fox said immigration agent Melody Penelope Gonzales, who initiated the cancellation of her visa, made “malicious, sweeping and erroneous assumption and conclusion of facts and law” in her “sloppy investigation and intelligence work.”
Fox said Gonzales had “no right to define and delimit” what could be considered as apostolate and missionary work of the nuns of her religious congregation, Our Lady of Sion. —JOVIC YEE
