Technical bug forces Cebu Pacific plane to land in Nagoya
A Cebu Pacific flight bound for Cebu has made an emergency landing at the Chubu Centrair International Airport in Nagoya, Japan due to a technical glitch.
In its advisory on Thursday, the budget airline said that CEB Flight 5J 5063 departed Narita Airport in Tokyo at 12:05 p.m. (Japan time) and was suppose to arrive in Cebu at 4:40 p.m. (Philippines time).

But the plane, an Airbus A320, was diverted to Nagoya, also in Japan, after the pilot noticed a technical issue, and safely landed on the Chubu Centrair International Airport.

“We apologize for the inconvenience, but it is imperative we prioritize the safety of the flight and all our passengers,” the airline said on Twitter. /kga
