PH, UAE agree to further strengthen bilateral ties

The Philippines and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have agreed to strengthen the bilateral ties between the two countries.

Foreign Affairs Secretary Perfecto R. Yasay, Jr. visited UAE from March 1 to 4 where he was received by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE’s Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.

The two officials agreed to increase political consultations to exchange views on various issues, and to increase exchanges of high-level visits.

Sheikh Mohammed thanked Yasay for the valuable contribution of the Filipino community to the growth and development of the UAE. Meanwhile, Yasay lauded the UAE’s policies on moderation, tolerance and understanding and expressed that the international community is grateful for this example.
