American dies in computer shop in Quiapo

An American died inside a computer shop in Quiapo, Manila on Wednesday afternoon, radio DZMM reported.

The report said the American, identified as 47-year-old John Frederick Warnaca from California, was found unconscious by other users of the Internet café supposedly after leaning on his seat at around 3:30 p.m.

Other users reportedly called for help, but Warnaca was already dead upon the arrival of the authorities.

The report said Warnaca had an argument in a chat conversation on Facebook with a Filipino woman believed to be his girlfriend.

Warnaca’s cause of death was being determined by authorities. His family was also being traced as the Embassy of the United States had also been informed of the incident. YG
