Family feud seen in slay of Korean couple, kid
CEBU CITY—A family feud may have triggered the killing of a Korean couple and their daughter inside a restaurant that they own in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu province, on Thursday.
Ho An, 69; his wife, Kim Soonok, and daughter Young Mi An were found dead past 6 p.m. on May 22 inside Han Ga Wi Restaurant in Bagumbayan Uno, Barangay Maribago in Lapu-Lapu City.
Police arrested Young’s husband, Kim Se Wong, who was found with slash wounds in his wrists on the second floor of the restaurant.
PO3 Lydo Pinos, investigator of the Lapu-Lapu police office, said the wounds were self-inflicted.
He said Kim cut his wrists either to cover up the crime or commit suicide out of guilt for what he had done.
Pinos said a family feud was one of the angles being looked into. A security guard told police that he heard a commotion and a scream inside the restaurant about four hours before the bodies were found.

Inting told police that a female Korean, a family friend, went to the restaurant around 5 p.m. on Thursday but it was locked.
She tried calling the Korean couple but their phones just kept on ringing. She also knocked on the door of the restaurant but no one answered.
She and Inting then went to the back door. When they opened the door, they saw bloodstains on the floor and immediately sought help from police.
Pinos said the bodies of the couple and their daughter were found in the kitchen.
The bodies all bore multiple stab wounds. Kim was found bleeding on the second floor.
Inside, the restaurant bore signs of a commotion; chairs and tables were turned upside down. Some were damaged and had bloodstains.
