MANILA, Philippines—An executive from an international organization is set to visit Eastern Visayas Wednesday, a statement said.
Yoshiteru Uramoto, International Labor Organization Assistant Director General and Regional Director for Asia and the Pacific, is set to talk to workers that took part in the emergency employment programs.
ILO’s most senior official in the Asia Pacific would stay until Friday, December 13, to review the rebuilding efforts on the livelihoods of those affected by Supertyphoon “Yolanda.”
On Thursday, Uramoto is scheduled to visit Tacloban and the surrounding area with Labor Secretary Rosalinda Baldoz and ILO Country Director for the Philippines Lawrence Jeff Johnson.
Also, Uramoto is scheduled to meet representatives of workers’ and employers’ organizations and United Nations officials deployed in the area.
