MANILA, Philippines—The Makati City government has paid tribute to a 31-year-old overseas Filipino worker who died recently while protecting her six-year-old ward in Hong Kong.

Mayor Jejomar Erwin Binay gave P20,000 as financial assistance to the family of Juanita Limbago, of West Rembo, Makati City.

Binay also presented to Limbago’s husband, Edwin, and their eight-year old son, Marc Aldwin, a city council resolution extending condolences to the bereaved family and paying tribute to Limbago for her heroic act.
