Passport applicants who missed appointment due to floods told to come on Aug. 24 and 31
MANILA, Philippines – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) advised all passport applicants in Manila who were unable to make it to their appointment last August 19 and 20 due to the rains and floods to come instead on August 24 and 31.
“Applicants who had appointments on Aug 19 and 20 need not secure a new appointment,” DFA said in a text advisory.
“They may go on Aug 24 or 31 to the DFA offices in Metro Manila (SM Megamall, SM Manila, Robinsons Galleria or DFA Macapagal Ave) where they secured their original appointments to renew their old passports or apply for a new one,” it said.
Applicants simply have to present their proof of appointment on 19 and 20 and they will be accommodated.
Tropical storm “Maring” enhanced the southwest monsoon which brought record rainfall and flooding in Metro Manila and several nearby provinces for a couple of days.
