Plot to assassinate Kiram, followers bared
MANILA, Philippines – An alleged foreign hit squad has arrived in the country to assassinate Sulu Sultan Jamalul Kiram III and his adviser Pastor “Boy” Saycon, according to sultanate spokesperson Abraham Idjirani.
In a news briefing Tuesday, Idjirani disclosed that a “foreign military colonel” arrived with four “commandos” and hired three local assassins allegedly to kill Kiram and his followers.
Idjirani asked the National Bureau of Investigation, the Philippine National Police and Armed Forces of the Philippines to check on their information that the hit squad stayed at the Maxim’s Hotel in Pasay City.
Idjirani said a lawyer, who was supposedly approached by the foreigners, told Saycon about the plot.
