27 overstaying Filipinos in Saudi Arabia arrive in Manila
MANILA, Philippines—Twenty-seven overstaying Filipinos in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia arrived Wednesday in Manila, the Department of Foreign Affairs.
The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration shouldered the repatriation costs of the Filipinos—19 females and eight children, the DFA, quoting a report of OWWA Administrator Carmelita S. Dimzon, said.
The DFA said that more workers from the Middle East are expected to arrive in the coming days.
Labor Secretary Rosalinda Dimapilis-Baldoz has ordered the immediate and accelerated repatriation of the Filipinos who overstayed their visas in Saudi Arabia.
