Nova Villa moved by Dolphy’s condition but says actor looks ‘happy’
MANILA, Philippines — Nova Villa, close friend of actor-comedian Rodolfo “Dolphy” Vera Quizon, said she was moved by his condition, but said that he looked “happy.”
“Nahabag ako sa kondisyon ni tito Dolphy inabot niyang sakit [I feel sorry for the condition of Tito Dolphy]. Masasabi ko let’s [All I can say is let’s] all pray for tito Dolphy for his speedy recovery,” Villa, who starred with Dolphy in the television sitcom “Home Along da Riles”, said after she saw him at the intensive care unit of the Makati Medical Center early Saturday.
Villa, who arrived from Los Angeles around 6 a.m., said she looked at Quizon from the ICU viewing area and couldnt help but shed some tears for her friend with whom she worked with for over a decade.
Asked about what she saw, Villa said, “Matalim ang isip, nakakakita, nag iismile [He’s mind’s sharp, he can see, he smiles]”.
“Lumalaki mata niya,” Villa said as she imitated Quizon’s expression at the sight of visitors.
