/ 08:40 PM June 05, 2012

Thousands of Filipinos and onlookers enthusiastically applaud the colorful float depicting the Chinese imperial dragon being captured and brought to the UN International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea for intrusions into Philippine territory of the Panatag Scarborough Shoal and Spratly Islands.

The U.S. Pinoys for Good Governance (USPGG.org) advocacy group led by philanthropist Loida Lewis and NY chapter leader Joe Ramos organized the colorful street drama with 30 supporters during the June 3, 2012 PH Independence Day Parade on Madison Avenue in New York City.

The activists in yellow T-shirts chanted  “Mabuhay Pilipinas!” along the 12-block parade route. (Photos by Eric Lachica)
