Alice Guo cited for contempt due to evasive answers at House hearing
MANILA, Philippines — Dismissed Bamban Mayor Alice Guo has been cited for contempt by the House of Representatives quad-committee due to her evasive answers.
Abang Lingkod party-list Rep. Joseph Stephen Paduano made the motion, which was approved by Surigao del Norte 2nd District Rep. Robert Ace Barbers.
Guo was deemed detained until the quad-committee finished its hearings.

The detention facility of Guo is still to be determined, but Paduano earlier said that it seems the dismissed mayor is enjoying her stay at the Philippine National Police (PNP) Custodial Center, suggesting that she may be transferred to the Correctional Institute for Women instead.
