“And we intend to have a Metro Manila-wide fair for Taiwan jobs probably before the end of the year,” Bello said.

“About 12 Taiwanese employers, recruitment agencies, and universities will fly to Ilagan City to screen and interview prospective applicants for positions in various factories. Also available are jobs for caregivers and scholarship slots for students,” the MECO statement further reads.

MECO said I-Mei Foods and SHPT Caretakers are among the participating agencies and employers. On the other hand, other firms will conduct interviews and assessments of applicants online.

It added that these agencies will also conduct a pre-screening of applicants before the event.

Meanwhile, at least three universities are set to offer scholarships to students who will qualify for the career expo during the event. These schools include the Mingshin University of Science and Technology, Taipei University of Science and Technology, and Kunshan University.
