MANILA, Philippines — The Vatican will convene a Consistory or the council of cardinals regarding the canonization of Blessed Carlo Acutis.
In its Promulgation of Decrees of the Dicastery for the Causes of Saints on Thursday, the Vatican said it acknowledged a miracle attributed to Acutis’ intercession.

“Furthermore, the Supreme Pontiff […] has decided to convene a Consistory also regarding the canonization of Blesseds Giuseppe Allamano, Marie-Léonie Paradis, Elena Guerra and Carlo Acutis,” its bulletin said.
To be canonized, a miracle done through the intercession of the blessed person must be recorded and acknowledged by the Holy See.

Acutis was known for his acuity with technology, programming and the internet, where he developed a website documenting Eucharistic miracles.
He was born in 1991 in the United Kingdom, and died in Italy at the age of 15 due to leukemia.
He was also beatified by Pope Francis in October 2020.
