NEW YORK CITY — On the sidelines of his working visit to the United States, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Friday (Saturday Manila time) took a break to eat Filipino food for lunch at two food trucks near his hotel here.

In photos shared by the Office of Speaker Martin Romualdez, Marcos Jr. could be seen accompanied by First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, the House Speaker, and other members of the Philippine delegation.

On the first food truck, the President ate pork barbeque and bulalo, then feasted on pansit, lumpia, and ice cream on the second food truck, the Office of the Speaker said.

Friday marked the last of Marcos’ working visit to the United States, where he will meet with the Asia Society and is expected to meet with more American business executives.

During his working visit here, the President met with several American business leaders, spoke before the United Nations 77th General Assembly, met with US President Joe Biden and Japan Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.

He will depart here on Friday evening and will arrive in Manila on Sunday morning.
