MANILA, Philippines — The second leg of the Marine Aviation Support Activity (MASA) 2022 between the Philippine Marine Corps (PMC) and the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) is set to begin on Monday, July 18 to July 23.
According to the PMC in a statement, the training will be held in Zambales and Taguig City and will include helicopter rope suspension training and aeromedical evacuation training.
PMC Acting Commandant Brigadier General Raul Jesus Caldez, who is also the Exercise Director of Masa 2022, said “everything is set” for the bilateral exercise.
“The PMC and USMC are also expected to execute and refine their tactics, techniques, and procedures for interoperability under this activity,” Caldez added.
Masa 2022 assistant training director Colonel Gregorio Hernandez, Jr. was tasked to supervise the event and direct the demonstration of PMC’s aviation capabilities.
The first part of the Masa 2022 was held from June 6 to June 17, 2022 in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte, and in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.
