MANILA, Philippines — The Bureau of Immigration on Wednesday reminded Filipinos who are going abroad for the first time as fiancées, spouses, or family members of foreign nationals to secure the required certificate from the Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) before leaving.
Immigration Commissioner Jaime Morente said such emigrants are required to attend a guidance and counseling program from the CFO as mandated by law.
