/ 05:10 AM November 26, 2021

MANILA, Philippines — In partnership with the Philippine government, the European Union has launched the second phase of its Justice Sector Reform Program called Governance in Justice (GoJust), committing P1.1 billion over a period of four years to support ongoing efforts by the Supreme Court, the Department of Justice and the Department of the Interior and Local Government to improve access to justice for all Filipinos.

GoJust will contribute to reducing case backlogs with the automation of courts and prosecution offices among other innovations; support the coordination of justice sector agencies at the national and local level; and foster the use of research in the design and management of justice sector policies. —Tina G.
