Russia completes 10M Sputnik V vaccine delivery
MANILA, Philippines — Government officials on Friday welcomed the arrival of the last batch of the Russian-developed Sputnik V COVID-19 vaccine, and the first of the single-dose Sputnik V Light.
The delivery of 2.805 million doses of Sputnik V (half for Component I, while the other half for Component II) completed the government’s contract with Russia for the procurement of 10 million doses, vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. said.
Russia also donated 5,000 doses of Sputnik V Light.
As of Friday, the country has received more than 133 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines, both procured and donated. —Dexter Cabalza
