MANILA, Philippines—Philippine authorities have arrested 26 Chinese nationals who overstayed their visas, police said Thursday.

The Chinese are in the country on temporary visitor’s visas but were found working and living in the villages of Bilay and Maibu in Butuan City, Region 13 police spokesman Superintendent Martin Gamba said.

Gamba said the Butuan City Public Safety Company officers assisted several members of the Bureau of Immigration and Deportation in arresting the overstaying Chinese.
