DFA logs 147 new COVID-19 cases among Filipinos overseas; total passes 20,000
MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) reported on Monday 147 new cases of COVID-19 among Filipinos overseas, bringing total infections to 21,090.
As of Monday, 7,339 of the total infections are active cases.
Meanwhile, 16 new deaths were also reported bringing the total death toll to 1,261, while recoveries stand at 12,430 after 76 new recoveries were recorded
According to the DFA, COVID-positive Filipinos are now found in 97 countries — 11,920 in the Middle East and Africa; 4,613 in the Asia-Pacific Region; 3,566 in Europe; and 991 in the Americas.

As of this writing, the total COVID-19 infections in the Philippines is at 1,513,396, after 5,651 cases were reported on Monday. This includes recoveries at 1,439,049 and 26,786 deaths.
