188 restaurants to offer exclusive deals for vaccinated Filipinos through Smart Bakuna Benefits

Here’s another incentive to getting vaccinated: 188  restaurants in NCR Plus (Metro Manila, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal) are offering free dishes, upsizes on drinks, discounts, or buy one get one promos, if customers can present an original COVID-19 vaccination card and valid ID.

“Dining out has always been a communal experience and we’re sure many miss the joy of bonding over meals. We are excited to see our customers again as more Filipinos get vaccinated. Our offers are a way to welcome everyone back, thank them for being vaccinated and at the same time, speed up community protection through mass vaccination,” says Eric Teng, president of the Restaurant Owners of the Philippines (RestoPH).

Smart Bakuna Benefits

The program dubbed as Smart Bakuna Benefits is part of the vaccine education efforts under the Ingat Angat Bakuna Lahat campaign and is spearheaded by Taskforce T3 (Test, Trace, Treat), Smart Communications, and RestoPH. The exclusive offers aim to provide additional incentives for Filipinos to get themselves vaccinated.

“Through Smart Bakuna Benefits, getting vaccinated becomes an even more rewarding experience for Filipinos.  We hope that these exclusive perks would motivate our fellowmen to finally make the smart move and participate in our government’s vaccination program so that we can all protect ourselves, our families, and communities.  This is a shared responsibility that goes a long way in building a better world,” said Alfredo S. Panlilio, PLDT Inc. and Smart Communications President and CEO.

“This promo rewards all those who got vaccinated with a discount on their favorite meals from their favorite restaurants, and hopefully it encourages others to get immunized too,“ says Pepot Miñana, Chief Sustainability and Public Affairs Officer of the Jollibee Group. “This is our industry’s contribution to helping the country reach herd immunity at the soonest time possible so that we can get back to normal life and eat out with family and friends again.”

The offers are available during the operational hours of participating stores from June 1 to August 31, 2021. Vaccinated customers only need to show their vaccination cards and a valid ID to avail of the promos. Task Force T3

The private sector’s role in COVID-19 recovery

Taskforce T3 is a private sector coalition that assists the government in fast-tracking the vaccination rollout in the country. One of its key campaigns is Ingat Angat Bakuna Lahat, a vaccination advocacy campaign to encourage the public to get jabbed.

“We need to work fast if we want to reach our goal of population protection soon. More vaccine supply is expected and T3 is working closely with NTF and some LGUs to ensure throughput. We are aware that vaccine willingness is a challenge all over the world which is why we are continuously working to generate more demand through education and other programs like Bakuna Benefits in partnership with Smart Communications and RestoPH. We encourage everyone to get vaccinated so we can expedite re-opening the economy safely,” says Margot Torres, Managing Director for McDonald’s Philippines and Ingat Angat Bakuna Lahat communications advocacy co-lead.

T3 recently launched a massive vaccine education campaign under the Ingat Angat Bakuna Lahat umbrella program to encourage public willingness to get jabbed.  The program includes television and radio commercials, outdoor advertisements, social media campaigns, vaccine awareness toolkits for companies, and now the Smart Bakuna Benefits promo.

T3 also works with local government units (LGUs), private healthcare providers and malls to augment jab rates in NCR Plus.
