Japan aid agency releases P4-B disaster loan

MANILA, Philippines — The Japanese Embassy in Manila on Wednesday announced the disbursement of 10 billion yen, or about P4 billion, of Japan’s total 50 billion yen postdisaster loan to the Philippines.

The Japan International Cooperation Agency released the first tranche of the country’s 50-billion-yen Post-Disaster Standby Loan after the extension of a state of calamity, the embassy said in a statement.
