DFA records 15 new confirmed COVID-19 cases among Filipinos abroad
MANILA, Philippines—The Department of Foreign Affairs on August tallied 15 new confirmed cases of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) among Filipinos living abroad bringing the total number of infections to 9,725.
In a Twitter post, the DFA said that the new cases came from six countries across Asia and the Pacific, Middle East, and Europe.
There are also four new recoveries that brought the total to 5,760 with but four people have died bringing the new record to 708 deaths.
Of those who were infected, a total of 3,257 are undergoing treatment.
The mortality rate for Filipinos living abroad remains at 7 percent.
